If you thought life stopped with daddy Cade, the third book in the series is here to prove you wrong and show you that you’ve got a lot more to experience with this series, and I’m saying this as someone who wanted to quit the series after reading the first book.

⛸️ The story is light, extremely enjoyable, and will make you laugh in many places. The pages turn without you realizing it, and even though nothing earth-shattering happens, you find yourself constantly curious to see what will happen with this couple.

I recommend it to anyone who ever said, “Is there friendship between a man and a woman?” because, well, meet Jasper and come tell me that again, madam!!!

Is there friendship between a man and a woman? No, because they are FRIENDS. But are they really?
Charming Jasper and dynamic Sloane were definitely once friends, childhood friends.

Jasper is a talented hockey player but for Sloane he will always be the sweet boy with the sad eyes she once met at the ranch and hasn't stopped thinking about since. Even if she has to marry someone she doesn't want. But what happens when she becomes the ultimate runaway bride and Jasper is there to support her while his own life falls apart? The time they spend together as “friends” will blur the lines of their relationship, and the way he touches her is certainly not friendly, right?

The third book in the spicy Chestnut Springs series that follows the Eaton brothers, wild cowboys in this small town and their girls. Having read back to back the 2nd and 3rd books of the series, I came to share my thoughts with you.

So I give it 4 stars because I really like the whole plot and the series! I find the found family one of the best I have read and I can't wait to continue with the 4th book as they are addictive!

I honestly loved Sloane, she was a dynamic protagonist who knew what she wanted and after years of unfulfilled love she did not hesitate to stay strong and demand what she wanted.

I want to say the following and I say it with much love: I love the series, I will read them all. But I have the following thought, the author is excellent at writing spicy small-town romances with very deep friendships. However, if something was missing for me and I found gaps, it was the depth of the characters and specifically Jasper. I understand his childhood trauma but he kept saying that everyone leaves if you love them, while this was not true except for his parents.

In terms of romance and the relationship between the two protagonists, I really liked the childhood friends to lovers trope and I think it was very well written!

P.S. Cade will always be no.1 in my heart with Willa but Jasper and Sloane will be no.2

Description & Specifications

Teenagers Sam and Sadie meet in the 1980s at a pediatric hospital in California, where Sam is hospitalized after the car accident that cost his mother her life and Sadie’s sister is undergoing treatment for leukemia. The two children become friends by playing video games.

They meet again by chance, six years later, in Massachusetts, where they are studying. This meeting marks the beginning of a legendary partnership in the exciting world of video game design. Before graduating from university, the two friends create their first blockbuster game and conquer the world overnight. However, success and wealth will not protect them from the pitfalls of excessive ambition, betrayals, and the personal tragedies they will experience along the way.

In “Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow,” Gabrielle Zevin explores the multifaceted nature of identity, disability, failure, the possibility of redemption that games offer, and above all, our need for deep human connection, our longing to love and be loved.
One of the 100 best books of the 21st century by the New York Times.

Sloane Winthrop’s fiancé is a major jerk. I know the type. You can’t make it into the international hockey league without running into your fair share of them. And this guy takes it to the next level. As if the name Sterling Woodcock wasn’t enough of a giveaway, now he brags about the hunting trip where he and his dad spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to kill lions that were born and raised in captivity, as if that would somehow make their dicks bigger.

From the Rolex on his wrist to his manicured nails, he radiates wealth, and I guess it makes sense that Sloane might end up with a guy like him. After all, the Winthrops are one of the most powerful families in the country, practically holding a monopoly in telecommunications. While he rambles on, I glance at Sloane across the table. Her blue eyes are downcast and it’s obvious she’s fidgeting with the napkin in her lap. She looks like she’d rather be anywhere else than here in this fancy, dimly lit steakhouse.

And I’d say I feel the same way. Listening to her small-dicked future husband brag at a table full of relatives and friends I’ve never met before about something that is honestly embarrassing—and sad—is not how I’d choose to spend my evening. But I’m here for Sloane, and that’s what I keep telling myself. Because looking at her right now, totally worn out just days before her wedding... I feel like she needs someone here who truly knows her.
