After a week, unfortunately, a stuck green pixel appeared... it will be replaced due to DOA, as it covers product returns within 14 days when shipped by courier.

Purchased at €185 mainly for competitive gaming, and it exceeded my expectations. It is the first 240Hz monitor I have bought, coming from 60Hz, and the difference in smoothness and feel is huge.
After research and comparison with models like Alienware AW2723DF, Gigabyte M27Q X, HP OMEN 27qs, and LG UltraGear 27GR83Q-B, I concluded that the AOC Q27G4ZR offers very good performance for its price. At 240Hz (Overdrive: Faster) it has 66.67% in-window and a refresh window of 4.17ms (TotallydubbedHD @ YouTube), performing equally or even better than more expensive monitors. For example, the AW2723DF at 280Hz (Super Fast, G-Sync off) has 60% / 3.57ms (techless @ YouTube), while the M27Q X at 240Hz (Balance) has 60% / 4.17ms (Hardware Unboxed @ YouTube), and they cost over €300.
The AOC also has very low input lag (~2.53ms, MoreleTV @ YouTube) and excellent response times.
Image quality is very good for its class; I compared it with a Sony 50” (12-bit), Samsung Neo G7 4K Mini LED 165Hz, and Samsung Odyssey G6 240Hz, and I was satisfied. Of course, the Neo G7 plays in a higher category, but knowing the price difference and my use (competitive gaming), I don’t feel like I’m missing anything essential.
The monitor is well-calibrated out of the box. For movies, you might need to enable Dark Boost Level 1–2 for better blacks, but for gaming I didn’t need it, even so, it has satisfactory blacks as shown in the tests I did at lagom.nl/lcd-test.

Edit 6/1/2026: One drawback I noticed is that the MBR and Overdrive settings are not saved. After shutting down or restarting the computer, these specific settings reset. The solution I found is to turn off the monitor when shutting down/restarting the computer and turn it on after it starts, around the time Windows loads.

For example, the AW2723DF at 280Hz (Super Fast, G-Sync off) has 60% / 3.57ms (techless @ YouTube), while the M27Q X at 240Hz (Balance) has 60% / 4.17ms (Hardware Unboxed @ YouTube), and they cost over €300.
The AOC also has very low input lag (~2.53ms, MoreleTV @ YouTube) and excellent response times.
Image quality is very good for its class; I compared it with a Sony 50” (12-bit), Samsung Neo G7 4K Mini LED 165Hz, and Samsung Odyssey G6 240Hz, and I was satisfied. Of course, the Neo G7 plays in a higher category, but knowing the price difference and my use (competitive gaming), I don’t feel like I’m missing anything essential.
The monitor is well-calibrated out of the box. For movies, you might need to enable Dark Boost Level 1–2 for better blacks, but for gaming I didn’t need it, even so, it has satisfactory blacks as shown in the tests I did at lagom.nl/lcd-test.

As for the speakers, they are disappointing, sound like from a well, no bass. If you don’t care about them, prefer the AOC Q27G42ZE, almost the same monitor without speakers but with 300 cd/m² brightness instead of 400 cd/m², saving a few euros.
Edit 6/1/2026: One drawback I noticed is that the MBR and Overdrive settings are not saved. After shutting down or restarting the computer, these specific settings reset. The solution I found is to turn off the monitor when shutting down/restarting the computer and turn it on after it starts, around the time Windows loads.

Μετά από τερματισμό ή επανεκκίνηση του υπολογιστή, οι συγκεκριμένες ρυθμίσεις επαναφέρονται. Η λύση που βρήκα είναι να κλείνω την οθόνη όταν κλείνω/επανεκκίνηση τον υπολογιστή και να την ανοίγω αφού ξεκινήσει, περίπου τη στιγμή που φορτώνουν τα Windows.
Excellent monitor. Where do I start, for 185 euros you get 240hz, 1ms adaptive sync + IPS and 1440p, what more do you want for gaming. Guys, from me, HATS OFF to AOC. Well done. Guys, for its price, it is excellent. I had the Dell 27 IPS 165hz and I see no difference, and I bought this mainly for the HZ.
After a week, unfortunately, a stuck green pixel appeared... it will be replaced due to DOA, as it covers product returns within 14 days when shipped by courier.
Εξαιρετικό μόνιτορ. Από που να αρχίσω στο ότι για τα 185 ευρώ σου δίνει 240hz 1ms adaptive sync + IPS και 1440p τι άλλο θες για gaming. Παιδια απο μένα HATS OFF στην AOC. Εύγε. Παιδια για τα λεφτα της ειναι εξαιρετική. Ειχα την dell 27 ips 165hz και δεν βλέπω καμια διαφορα και αγόρασα αυτή κυρίως για τα HZ.
Μετά απο μια βδομάδα δυστηχως βγηκε εν stuck πρασινο pixel...θα γινει αντικατασταση λογω DOA καλυπτει επιστροφες προιοντων εντος 14 ημερών που έχει μεταφερθει με κουριερ.
