Let's clarify a few things first.
• NO! IT'S NOT 120hz, it's 60...
Come on Skroutz! Seriously... There is no 43-inch Xiaomi screen with 120hz... It's not that you confused it with another series, it just doesn't exist...
From 55 inches and up, in a specific series of TVs, Xiaomi does provide 120hz. (If you're wondering what I'm talking about, for the 32" Skroutz says 120hz, a user also mentions 120hz, but it's not true... at any resolution)
• Its sound is not "terrible" as has been said. Especially for the value for money it offers in other areas (of course, a so-so soundbar or some pseudo-decent speakers will sound much better).
• YES! The viewing angles are not good. I agree with the others. It's a VA Panel, not IPS, not OLED, and obviously for cost-saving reasons, it's cut in an orientation that causes viewing issues at an angle on the horizontal axis... There's some color fading (at least from the right side, since I don't have space to view from the left, it's now mounted on the wall, I'm not taking it down for you xD), but not all colors are affected the same. Skin tones tend to suffer more at first glance.
At how many degrees does it start? Unfortunately, almost immediately. 10 degrees? That's about when you slowly start to notice a difference. At 25, the difference is big. At 40, it's huge. Is it annoying? Only if you plan to watch the screen at an angle. For 2-3 people sitting on a couch in front, honestly it's ok... Are there cheaper ones with better picture? 4K, no, there aren't. 1080p? Maybe some Hisense, yes. Better viewing angles? Maybe?..
• Yes. As a simple TV, it's slow. Especially the first minute after you turn it on, until everything loads in the background, it's a pain, it's unresponsive. After that, though, it's tolerable. It's slow, but manageable. Would I like it to be faster? Yes... but then (I suppose) they'd have to add a separate processor just for the TV tuner and the price would go up a bit.
On Android TV, though, it's quite ok, I haven't really seen any freezes except during startup when it loads various things.
What does it offer:
• Pleasant picture when viewed from the center. The colors are a bit intense, but there's the option to adjust them, though it's quite limited. Lower the brightness a bit in my opinion before you do anything else... It might even have built-in upscaling (AI Upscaling or something), but maybe it's just my impression :P
For the average user, it's pleasant. It's 4K. At this price, it's 4K... I don't know, I'm impressed by that... It also has HDR, but with a peak brightness of just over 300 nits, don't expect to really enjoy it... HDR for under at least 600 euros, I think you can't really see...
• Satisfactory sound for the average user again. It suffers at some frequencies, but I don't really care
• Android TV. It has 1.8GB RAM. It's ok. Adds about 40-50 euros of value instead of buying Xiaomi's TV Box.
It also has Chromecast built in, which is great if you know how to use it effectively.
It's ok for watching Netflix, other popular streaming services, etc.
ATTENTION! It only has about ~5GB of storage and available is ~1.5GB. I installed 4-5 extra small apps and there was ~1.2GB left. It notified me that an update was available and there wasn't enough space to download it.
It's not for downloading stuff... It's just enough to have smart functions. If you want more, go for a TV Box or something.
• It is lightweight without feeling very cheap... So, it's of decent build quality. Nothing crazy, but at least it doesn't look cheap. You can't call it thin, but it's not extremely thick either.
• All the ports are on the sides, so it sits comfortably flush with the wall if you use a mount.
• For those who care, it also supports satellite channels and has a corresponding F connector port. There's a separate port for the classic antenna.
What I liked:
Even with limited space, I installed my apps... I put Emby to watch my movies, Moonlight to stream my games, Smart Tube to watch YouTube without ads, CX File Explorer to manage files and apps, and a Web Browser just to have one. Should I add Stremio too? Eh... It's been a bit bad lately. We'll see...
So I installed these and they run just fine. They play 4K without any real issues.
It did quite well with Moonlight. 4-5ms latency for streaming on a local network. For comparison, another older TV Box I have had 30-40ms latency. My phone with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 7ms latency (but the phone is OLED 120hz, so the experience there is amazing, even though streaming surprisingly takes 2-3ms more than the TV).
Of course, the TV's VA panel has quite a bit of latency and the situation wasn't ideal. I need to do more tests to decide if the experience is acceptable; I've only had the TV for 2 days and haven't had much time with it.
It also has Chromecast, which I like...
"Pro" Tip:
Try the Web Video Caster app on your phone. One of the 3 apps I've bought in the last 15 years of using Android. And it works for free with occasional ads on the phone (0 ads on the TV). It's a web browser (with ad blocker only in the paid version, I think) that has built-in casting for video.
So, you visit the website with the video you want to watch (cough cough series or movie cough cough) on your phone, and there's a button at the top for casting. You tap it and it shows you devices on your network with Chromecast or similar technologies. Practically any Android device (e.g., a cheap no-name Android projector) that doesn't have Chromecast can download the web video caster receiver and receive the cast this way.
Very nice tool, so you won't have to bother with a browser on the TV, which is quite a pain... Not sponsored, I just like it :D
That's all about the TV. For €270 and 43", personally, I don't want anything more. It would get 5 stars if the VA Panel was cut in a way that would ruin the vertical viewing angles, so it wouldn't have an issue horizontally... It would be more expensive though...
The channels are a bit slow too... eh... who cares...
For me, the only real downside is the viewing angles. If you only have one couch facing the TV, it's ok, don't worry...

Να ξεκαθαρίσουμε κάποια πράγματα πρώτα.
• ΟΧΙ! ΔΕΝ ΕΙΝΑΙ 120hz, 60 είναι...
Αν είναι δυνατόν Σκρουτζ! Αν είναι δυνατόν... Δεν υπάρχει 43άρα Xiaomi οθόνη με 120hz... Δεν είναι ότι την μπέρδεψες με κάποια άλλη σειρά, απλά δεν υπάρχει...
Από 55 ίντσες και πάνω σε μια συγκεκριμένη σειρά τηλεοράσεων, δίνει και 120hz η Xiaomi. (αν αναρωτιέστε τι λέω, στις 32" το Σκρουτζ λέει 120hz, ένας χρήστης αναφέρει επίσης 120hz, δεν ισχύει όμως... σε καμία ανάλυση)
• Ο ήχος της δεν είναι "άθλιος" όπως έχει ακουστεί. Ιδιαίτερα για το value for money που προσφέρει και σε άλλους τομείς (φυσικά μια έτσι κι έτσι ηχόμπαρα ή κάποια ψευτο decent ηχεία, θα παίξουν πολύ καλύτερα).
• ΝΑΙ! Οι γωνίες θέασης δεν είναι καλές. Συμφωνώ με τους υπόλοιπους. Πρόκειται για VA Panel, όχι IPS, όχι OLED και προφανώς για λόγους οικονομίας κατασκευής κομμένο σε orientation που προκαλεί θέματα θέασης υπό γωνία στον οριζόντιο άξονα... Έχουμε ένα ξεθώριασμα στα χρώματα (τουλάχιστον από την δεξιά πλευρά, επειδή από αριστερά δεν έχω χώρο να δω, πάει τώρα κρεμάστηκε στον τοίχο, δεν την ξεκρεμάω για εσάς xD), αλλά όχι σε όλα το ίδιο. Τείνουν να υποφέρουν περισσότερο τα χρώματα του δέρματος εκ πρώτης όψεως.
Στις πόσες μοίρες ξεκινάει; Δυστυχώς σχεδόν αμέσως. 10 μοίρες; Κάπου εκεί αρχίζεις σιγά σιγά να βλέπει διαφορά. στις 25 είναι μεγάλη η διαφορά. Στις 40 είναι τεράστια. Είναι ενοχλητικό; Μόνο αν σκοπεύεις να δεις την οθόνη υπό γωνία. Για 2-3 άτομα που κάθονται απέναντι σε έναν καναπέ, ειλικρινά είναι οκ... Υπάρχουν πιο φθηνές με καλύτερη εικόνα; 4Κ όχι, δεν υπάρχουν. 1080p; Καμιά Hisense λογικά ναι. Καλύτερες γωνίες θέασης; Ίσως;..
• Ναι. Σαν απλή τηλεόραση είναι αργή. Ειδικά το πρώτο λεπτό που θα την ανοίξεις μέχρι να φορτώσει όλα τα πίσω, σου βγάζει το λάδι, δεν ανταποκρίνεται. Μετά από αυτό όμως είναι ανεκτή. Είναι αργή, αλλά παλεύεται. Θα ήθελα να είναι πιο γρήγορη; Ναι... αλλά εκεί θα έπρεπε (υποθέτω) να προσαρμώσουν ξεχωριστό επεξεργαστή μόνο για τον δέκτη τηλεόρασης και θα ανέβαινε η τιμή λιγάκι.
Στο Android TV είναι αρκετά οκ όμως, δεν έχω δει ουσιαστικά κολλήματα παρά μόνο κατά την εκκίνηση που φορτώνει διάφορα.
Τι έχει να προσφέρει:
• Ευχάριστη εικόνα όταν την βλέπεις από το κέντρο. Είναι λίγο έντονα τα χρώματα, αλλά υπάρχει δυνατότητα ρύθμισης, αν και αρκετά περιορισμένη. Μειώστε την φωτεινότητα λίγο κατά την άποψη μου προτού κάνετε οτιδήποτε άλλο... Παίζει να χει και built in upscaling (AI Upscaling or something), μπορεί να ναι και ιδέα μου όμως :P
Για τον μέσο χρήστη είναι ευχάριστη. Είναι 4Κ. Σε αυτά τα λεφτά είναι 4Κ... Δεν ξέρω, εμένα με εντυπωσιάζει αυτό... Έχει κι ένα HDR, αλλά με 300κάτι nits peak brightness, μην περιμένεις να το απολαύσεις και ιδιαίτερα... HDR κάτω από 600 τουλάχιστον ευρώ, νομίζω δεν βλέπεις...
• Ικανοποιητικός ήχος για τον μέσο χρήστη πάλι. Υποφέρει σε κάποιες συχνότητες, αλλά δεν με ενδιαφέρει και ιδιαίτερα
• Android TV. Έχει 1.8GB RAM. Είναι οκ. Σου προσθέτει κάνα 40-50άρικο value αντί να έπαιρνες το TV Box της Xiaomi.
Έχει και Chromecast built in, πολύ καλό αν ξέρεις πως να το χρησιμοποιείς αποτελεσματικά.
Είναι οκ για να βλέπεις Netflix, άλλα γνωστά streaming services κλπ.
ΠΡΟΣΟΧΗ! Έχει μόνο ~5GB χώρου αποθήκευσης και διαθέσιμος είναι ~1.5GB. Έβαλα 4-5 έξτρα μικρά apps και έμεινε ~1.2GB. Μου έβγαλε ότι είχε να κάνει ένα update και δεν έφτανε ο χώρος για να το κατεβάσει
Δεν είναι για να κατεβάσεις πράμα... Είναι ίσα ίσα για να έχεις smart λειτουργίες. Αν θες κάτι παραπάνω, πας για TV Box or something.
• Είναι ελαφριά χωρίς να νιώθεις ότι είναι πολύ φθηνή... Καλούτσικη λοιπόν ποιότητας κατασκευής. Τίποτα το τρελό, αλλά δεν φαίνεται τουλάχιστον φθηνή. Λεπτή δεν την λες, αλλά όχι και εξαιρετικά χοντρή.
• Οι θύρες είναι όλες στα πλάγια, οπότε κάθεται άνετα πρόσωπο ας πούμε με τον τοίχο με μία βάση.
• Για όποιον νοιάζεται, έχει και υποστήριξη για δορυφορικά κανάλια και αντίστοιχη F connector θύρα. Υπάρχει ξεχωριστή θύρα για την κλασσική κεραία.
Τι μου άρεσε εμένα:
Αν και με περιορισμένο χώρο, εγώ έβαλα τις εφαρμογές μου... Έβαλα το Emby να βλέπω τις ταινίες μου, έβαλα το Moonlight να κάνω streaming τα παιχνίδια μου, έβαλα το Smart Tube να βλέπω YouTube χωρίς διαφημίσεις, CX File Explorer για να διαχειρίζομαι αρχεία και εφαρμογές κι έναν Web Browser να υπάρχει. Να βάλω κι ένα Stremio; Ε... Είναι λίγο σάπιο τελευταία. Θα δείξει...
Έβαλα λοιπόν αυτά και τρέχουν μια χαρά. Παίζουν 4K χωρίς ουσιαστικά θέματα.
Τα πήγε αρκετά καλά στο moonlight. 4-5ms latency για το streaming σε τοπικό δίκτυο. Συγκριτικά, άλλο παλιότερο TV Box που έχω, είχε 30-40ms latency. Το κινητό μου με Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, 7ms latency (OLED 120hz το κινητό όμως, οπότε η εμπειρία είναι τρομερή εκεί, παρότι το streaming παίρνει παραδόξως 2-3 παραπάνω ms από την TV).
Βέβαια έχει κάμποσο latency το VA πάνελ της TV και δεν ήταν ιδανική η κατάσταση. Πρέπει να κάνω κι άλλες δοκιμές για να αποφασίσω αν είναι αποδεκτή εμπειρία, την έχω μόνο 2 μέρες την TV κι έχω προλάβει λίγα πράγματα
Έχει και Chromecast το οποίο μου αρέσει...
"Pro" Tip:
Δοκιμάστε την εφαρμογή Web Video Caster στο κινητό σας. Μια από τις 3 εφαρμογές που έχω αγοράσει τα τελευταία 15 χρόνια που χρησιμοποιώ Android. Και δωρεάν λειτουργεί με περιστασιακές διαφημίσεις στο κινητό (στην TV 0 διαφημίσεις). Είναι web browser (με ad blocker στην πληρωμένη έκδοση θαρρώ μόνο) που έχει built in casting για video.
Δηλαδή μπαίνεις με το κινητό σου στην ιστοσελίδα που έχει το βίντεο που θες να δεις (γκούχου γκούχου σειρά ή ταινια γκούχου γκούχου) κι έχει ένα κουμπάκι πάνω που είναι για casting. Το πατάς και σου εμφανίζει συσκευές που έχεις στο δίκτυο σου με Chromecast ή άλλες παρόμοιες τεχνολογίες. Πρακτικά οποιαδήποτε Android συσκευή (πχ ένας φθηνός no name Android βιντεοπροβολέας) που δεν έχει Chromecast, μπορεί να κατεβάσει το web video caster receiver και να δεχθεί έτσι το cast.
Πολύ ωραίο εργαλείο που λέτε, δεν θα χρειαστεί να ασχοληθείτε καθόλου με browser στην TV το οποίο είναι αρκετά βασανιστικό... Not sponsored, απλά μου αρέσει :D
Αυτά για την TV. Για 270€ και 43" δεν θέλω εγώ προσωπικά κάτι περισσότερο. 5 αστέρια θα έπαιρνε αν το VA Panel ήταν κομμένο με τρόπο που θα χαλούσαν οι γωνίες θέασης στον κάθετο άξονα, άρα δεν θα είχε θέμα στον οριζόντιο... Θα ήταν πιο ακριβή βέβαια...
Είναι και τα κανάλια λίγο αργά... eh... who cares...
Για εμένα το μόνο ουσιαστικό μείον είναι οι γωνίες θέασης. Αν έχετε μόνο έναν καναπέ απέναντι από την TV, είναι οκ, μην αγχώνεστε...
