The game is so good that I came here to write a review so that others can enjoy it as well.

I got the switch as a fan of Pokemon and I never had any other expectations. Maybe some Mario Kart with friends every now and then. I had no idea about the games in the series or the mythology. I was the classic type who thought that Link is Zelda because he appears on the cover and it wouldn't make sense for that not to be his name.
A friend lent me the game "for a while" and as soon as I started playing it, I gave it back to him and got my own because I knew I would want to have it forever.

The game introduces you to the story in such a way that you don't need to carry the entire franchise's legacy with you. You go along with it. I think that many things that impressed me about the plot wouldn't bother experienced players, but okay. The graphics, the controls, the choices, the open world map, everything is incredible and perfectly executed. Whatever you do and whichever path you choose, there is no right or wrong, only an easy and difficult way. And that is somewhat liberating from the formulas of some games where if you don't follow the formula, it won't work. I didn't believe that I would feel the joy of a game that I knew nothing about. Now that the TotK has been released, I can't wait to see how they built upon BotW.

As for the "negatives" of the game, if you can call them that, there are several trials and puzzles that I wouldn't have been able to solve without external help (YouTube videos). Call it what you want, lack of time to struggle to find the solution or impatience to see what happens next, so I wanted to bypass the small obstacles.

In conclusion, it is an investment game because it is beautiful to look at and it has such a complex plot that it lasts for many hours. Surely, if someone wants, they can go straight to the end with only the essentials, but if you are like me and want to explore, it will keep you great company. I highly recommend it and you won't regret it.

Breath of the Wild was my first The Legend of Zelda game and one of the reasons I bought a Nintendo Switch.
My first game on the Nintendo Switch was Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which I played for 3 days. As soon as I got my hands on Breath of the Wild, I put it aside, not because I didn't enjoy it anymore (I think it's a masterpiece multiplayer game), but because I had Breath of the Wild in my hands.

Having high expectations due to the reviews, I had a small fear that the game might disappoint me. 10 days after I started playing the game, I checked how many hours I had spent playing it. I expected to see around 40-50 hours, but I saw 70. It surprised me because, besides not having completed any main dungeon, I felt that I enjoyed the game just as much as I did in the first 10 hours. This was the first slap, the first moment I realized how enjoyable and unique the game was.

The second and bigger moment was when I saw the end credits after 100 hours of gameplay. I never felt so satisfied seeing end credits in a game as I did in Breath of the Wild. After 100 hours, I promised myself not to play anymore and wait for the release of Tears of the Kingdom, but I ended up playing for another 50 hours and soon I will also play the DLC. Even now, I enjoy the game just as much as I did before seeing the end credits.

Overall, I think that Breath of the Wild is the most fun, impressive, and great open-world game I have ever played, and it is definitely one of the best games I have ever played in my life. It doesn't have the best story or combat system in a game, but those are not necessary in Breath of the Wild because what matters most in such a game is the fun, the overall experience, what you feel when you see the end credits after 100 hours of gameplay, and I say 100 hours because if you start playing the game for the first time, you will refuse to engage with the main questline for a long time...

If you have a Nintendo Switch, it is a given that you have played Breath of the Wild. If you have a Nintendo Switch but haven't played Breath of the Wild yet, it's like you don't have a Nintendo Switch. For those who don't have a Nintendo Switch, it's worth buying one to experience one of the best gaming experiences you will ever have and will remember forever, which is called Breath of the Wild.

You will hear it from many and you will doubt it... But the freedom that this title offers is truly unforgettable. The game INNOVATES in the collaboration of its individual sectors: Physics system - gameplay - puzzles - open world - minimalist story and music. The physics system is unique: you have a range of abilities available such as using a magnet to manipulate metal objects, the ability to freeze time and deflect objects based on accumulated kinetic energy, the ability to create bombs which interact differently with the ground depending on its shape (spherical, cubic) according to its slope and weight and more. Using these tools, you can follow basic logical rules (metal objects are conductive, heat creates upward air) to solve the complex and imaginative puzzles of the game in more than one way. The open world, immediately after the initial area, is ALL directly accessible if you handle the provided tools smartly and manage your stamina bar. The story is decent (although basic) with interesting characters (which are not developed enough though) with indirect world building and which is told in the interesting way of "memories" that you can access if you visit the points depicted on your sheikah slate where some important events happened - discussions that give more information about the region's past. The gameplay is always quality and with choices: when you don't have a weapon available, 99% of the time you can enter a battle with an opponent in another way (throwing bombs, throwing metal objects, etc.). Finally, the music is, ultimately, particularly unforgettable as it manages to maintain a minimalist form while containing some incredible compositions, many of which are also particularly nostalgic for fans of the franchise (Rito Village - Dragonroost island). In conclusion, the game has some noticeable flaws but its entirety makes them almost non-existent: Nintendo, for one of the very few times in its history, dared to redefine a franchise that had begun to rot in Skyward Sword and with bold changes to change the formula and give a breath of freshness not only to the specific series of games but also to all open world games after its release. Breath of the Wild is an incredible case of creativity, inspiration, and execution that will continue to be a reference point in the video gaming industry for a long time to come.
