Description & Specifications

SKC hand taps are used to cut internal threads in metal surfaces. The set includes three M10 taps with a 1.25 mm pitch: No. 1 makes it easier to start in unprepared materials, No. 2 is intended for general use and for threads that do not extend to the bottom of the hole, while No. 3 is used to cut threads all the way to the bottom.

A rotary drill is used to make the initial hole, with a diameter larger than the tap’s core diameter and smaller than the major diameter of the desired thread. Using a tap wrench or tap ratchet and cutting oil makes the process easier.
