The SKC hand tap set is used to cut internal threads in metal surfaces and consists of three 14 mm diameter taps with a 2 mm thread pitch. Taps No. 1 and No. 2 make it easier to start and form the thread, while No. 3 is used to cut the thread to the bottom of the hole.

Before use, a hole must be drilled with a rotary drill. Its diameter should be larger than the tap’s core diameter and smaller than the outer diameter of the desired thread. Turn the taps using a tap wrench or tap ratchet. Cutting oil helps make the process easier.
