The SKC hand tap set includes three tools for cutting internal threads in metal surfaces. The three taps cover different stages of the process: No. 1 makes starting in raw materials easier, No. 2 is intended for general use, and No. 3 is for cutting threads all the way to the bottom of the hole.

To drill the hole, use a rotary drill bit with a diameter larger than the tap’s core diameter and smaller than the desired thread’s outer diameter. Tapping can be done with a tap wrench or tap ratchet, and cutting oil helps ensure a smoother process.
