Xenergy is the new generation of gray thermal insulation extruded polystyrene foams that offers up to 26% better (lower) thermal conductivity compared to conventional products. It also maintains the properties of DOW's blue boards such as high mechanical properties, excellent moisture resistance, and good breathability.

In particular, Xenergy features:

Xenergy SL is designed to provide maximum benefit in inverted and conventional roof insulation constructions as well as planted roofs. The perimeter sides with stepped configuration ensure good fit between the boards, preventing thermal bridges. The rigid boards provide a stable base for supporting the ballast layer, while the small dimensions of the board facilitate easy and quick installation without problems from wind pressure.
