This book analyzes the issues related to the content, operation, and transformations of the European agricultural economy and the CAP, with special reference to Greece.

The new updated edition addresses the multidimensional challenges that have arisen from 2021 to the present. All chapters are enriched with tables and figures for better comprehension of the theory as well as the empirical data, while the Greek and foreign language bibliography has been updated.

To provide a more comprehensive understanding of the importance of the agri-food sector at the international level, an appendix has been added at the end of the book, which studies the recent global food crisis of 2022-23 after Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the protests of European farmers against the abrupt implementation of restrictive CAP measures for the "green transition."
