Not that Ophelia skimped on the steamy scenes here, but the girl poured her soul into this and your blinders are a bit much, girl.

This man definitely doesn’t belong on most of our top bookboyfriend lists, he’s a dark character without moral boundaries or manners, but you know what? He doesn’t care! Because he’s Hector and he’s only for Victoria, because if anyone could handle him it would be this explosive soul named...

Victoria:
When I say I’m in love with this woman, I mean it!!!! Victoria is one of the craziest, most multifaceted and unique characters I’ve ever read in a book and I state openly that I will never get over her, even if I risk a slap from Hector.
Victoria is a rebellious soul who survives life her own way, a free way, against society’s “boxes.” She’s the voice that once fell silent because she didn’t have the courage, the nerve, or the strength to speak out, the voice that pressed her lips together because fear won, the voice that screams through the gag but no one hears...
Don’t look for logic in Victoria because you won’t find it there, but you’ll find it in the little voice in your mind that always thinks secretly, fearfully... that little voice that will never dare to tell the truth even when it’s suffocating itself slowly and steadily.
Victoria is you, your mother, some aunt, your best friend, a classmate you once had, a passerby whose name you’ll never know...
Victoria is woman...

Summary:
I feel this book consists of three main pillars that the author has successfully managed to unite and tie together beautifully.
The pillar of art, which is wonderfully integrated into each story, teaches you a few things and shows how much research went into this—let’s say it!
The pillar of social messages, which come through the protagonist, become one with the story and are messages we all need to hear and think about.
The pillar of the romantic relationship. A relationship that doesn't fit into molds, a relationship that "mom would never be proud of," a relationship that no one would ever applaud on the church steps—but why do you care? ...Isn't this the relationship that makes you happy?
Once again, Ophelia generously gives us lifelike characters who divide us with their decisions and actions, but isn't that the challenge? Because the real feat is not to make the compatible, the easy, the "right" lovable, but to make the difficult, the unrefined, the real lovable….

Among my least favorite parts of the book, I would mention some romantic scenes that I felt didn't suit me and didn't deliver what I personally, as Mayra, expect such scenes to deliver, and the character of Hector, with whom I couldn't connect even by the end of the book. I would have liked to see more facets of this character and a bit more of his past experiences to "feel" and "understand" him better.
Yes, our relationship is definitely going through a crisis and I sincerely hope he takes care of my Victoria!
And no! I'm not at all jealous that this caveman has her and I don't.

It contains intense romantic scenes, inappropriate language, and descriptions of events that may "trigger" more sensitive readers. The book has a dark character and the protagonist is a hardcore morally grey character.

I definitely recommend it to girls who are not easily shocked, to readers looking for something more than just another love story, and to those who have air conditioning at home or a fire department in your neighborhood
