The first one I had bought was made in the USA and it also had an additional plastic net to hold the "fabric" cover. The ones that are from Asia are of terrible construction. I don't even know if this black mass is made from coconut fiber. The lid came off with visible flaws and thermal silicone.

It's a shame for someone to spend much more money buying bottled water or buying expensive filters from a well-known TV show, offering exactly the same advantages as Matrikx.
