Description

The DC 2P 1kV Class C lightning protection panel is specially designed for the protection of photovoltaic installations. It features a visible operational indicator (green - protection is active, red - no protection). It protects against surges caused by indirect lightning strikes and switching processes - type 2 (formerly Class C). It has built-in thermal protection, eliminating the need for additional thermal protection (although it is always recommended).

Application: The presented lightning protection panels are designed to protect photovoltaic installations from induced and transient surges as well as those caused by weather conditions. They can also be installed in distribution panels and sub-distribution panels to protect electrical installations and sensitive devices. Protection is achieved through varistors, whose main advantage is high response speed. They can switch from high to low resistance in less than 25 ns. Their small size provides them with a high energy absorption capacity. Varistors are used for surge protection in AC and DC circuits.
