They are slightly thinner than the popular Staunton CHW26ART pieces and are distinguished by the absence of a cross on the top of the king and the "two-tone" design of the bishop, queen, and king pieces.

The folding, oven-baked, and hand-painted chess case is equipped with a lined interior shaped to fit each piece individually.
