The TP-LINK MC100CM media converter converts 100BASE-FX fiber-optic signals to 100BASE-TX copper signals and vice versa. It supports multi-mode fiber-optic cables with an SC connector and extends transmission distance up to 2 km.

It supports auto-negotiation for half-duplex and full-duplex operation, as well as IEEE 802.3x flow control in full-duplex mode and Backpressure in half-duplex mode. It can be used as a standalone unit or with the TP-LINK TL-MC1400 rack-mount chassis.
