L-Glutamine is a conditionally essential amino acid and an important fuel source for the cells of the small intestine. Upon reaching the small intestine, it is released into the bloodstream and used for various biochemical reactions, especially during periods of physical stress.

EAA XTRA also contains taurine for hydration, vitamin C for immune system support, and citrulline malate for ammonia removal.
