Pseudotropheus demasoni is a cichlid originating from the rocky area of Pombo Rocks, in the waters of Lake Malawi in Tanzania. The male of this species has dark blue or black vertical stripes, with alternating lighter stripes ranging from light blue to white. The male Demasoni Cichlid also displays the typical spots on the anal fin and is much larger than the female. In contrast, the female does not have such intense colors and lacks spots on the anal fin.
