Description

The Redcap Oranda is a goldfish of the Oranda variety. It features a large, round body with shiny scales and a distinctive separated tail fin. Unlike common goldfish, the Redcap Oranda has a more rounded or egg-shaped body, offering an impressive appearance.

Its coloration is almost entirely white, with a red cap on its head that resembles a lid. All fins are paired except for the dorsal fin and the tail fin. The protrusion on the head, known as the wen, is a fleshy growth that begins to appear when the fish is about 3 - 4 months old and fully develops in 2 - 2 1/2 years.
