Description

The use of ultraviolet C (UV-C) radiation is the most effective method for sterilizing water. No chemicals are involved and there is no risk of overdose. Sterilization is instantaneous.

High concentration UV-C energy has a lethal effect on living organisms by altering their genetic material (DNA) and inhibiting their ability to reproduce. The microbicidal properties of UV-C radiation are beneficial for destroying bacteria, viruses, protozoa, algae, yeasts, and mold spores.

D-D UV lamps produce a radiation intensity of 33,000 microwatts per second per square centimeter, sufficient to destroy most common pathogens in freshwater and saltwater aquariums, as well as in ponds.

Construction features:

  • Thin high-intensity quartz lamp with ceramic cap for good thermal insulation.
  • Lamp lifespan of 9000 hours of continuous use.
  • Electronic ballast for proper operation, ensuring the lamp's lifespan.
  • Quartz housing that prevents thermal shocks and maintains the lamp at the correct temperature for maximum UV-C output regardless of water temperature.

Technical specifications:

  • Model 80W: Power: 80 Watt, Flow rate: 4000 lts/hr, Dimensions: 920 mm x 100 mm x 140 mm, Tube size: 16mm ID 22mm OD.
  • Model 10W: Suitable for Reef aquariums (250 to 500 liters) and Fish only (125 to 250 liters).
  • Model 20W: Suitable for Reef aquariums (500 to 1000 liters) and Fish only (250 to 500 liters).
  • Model 39W: Suitable for Reef aquariums (1000 to 2000 liters) and Fish only (600 to 1200 liters).
  • Model 80W: Suitable for Reef aquariums (2000 to 4000 liters) and Fish only (1000 to 2000 liters).
