The MONTVAL® paper was designed by the painter Gaspard Maillol, nephew of the sculptor Aristide Maillol, and manufactured by CANSON® in the early 20th century. Since then, the material has evolved significantly.
It is ACID-FREE, with excellent durability and special mold-resistant treatment without chemical bleaching, making it one of the best quality materials for wet techniques, suitable for fine arts students.
Very easy to use and correct, it can even be washed with a wet brush. The material is available with a medium texture (Cold Pressed) or snowy grain texture, in a variety of sheets and blocks.
MONTVAL® is suitable for all wet techniques, such as watercolor, tempera, and acrylic.
