It seems to work (I don't have experience with any other trainer to judge), but the assembly process is incredibly frustrating, due to the mediocre (at best) build quality.
First of all, it was delivered to me without the two screws-nuts that hold the entire structure together. It wasn't just the screws that were missing, the whole screw-nut-wheel set was missing.
Also, in order to fit a 28-inch wheel, you need some special plastic extenders, which are poorly made and do not fit well into the required holes. This means that the plastic pieces are slightly curved and the screw that holds the mechanism cannot reach the nut on the other side. Even worse, on the side where the nut goes, the slot does not accommodate the wheel that the instructions tell you to put. After doing all of this, you have to keep the nut in a space that barely fits it, in such a way that you cannot remove the key that holds it without pushing the mechanism.
Even if you do all of this correctly (as correctly as possible), your 28-inch wheel still won't fit because it is made slightly wrong and it touches the floor, so you have to put something under it to lift it up.
I would return it, but now I just want to warn you that you have to be prepared for a very frustrating process
