Description

Description

This book seeks to thoroughly examine the phenomenon of brain asymmetry, that is, the specialization of the brain hemispheres for different functions, as well as its effects on the development of cognitive abilities, the emergence of neurodevelopmental or other disorders, and generally on an individual's behavior.

Through the example of highlighting some unique characteristics of individuals with different hand preferences (right-handedness, left-handedness, or ambidexterity), which are determined through complex genetic and environmental factors, the book focuses on the physiological basis, brain asymmetry, and aims to shed light on and interpret the variety and variations that individuals exhibit in various physical and psychological traits, which are rooted in brain function.

The publication explores the fields of psychobiology, which investigates the relationship between biological systems and behavior, and neuropsychology, which attempts to interpret human behavior based on the functions of the brain and nervous system.

However, nowadays, the greatest challenge for research related to brain function is not merely understanding the anatomy and complex physiology of the brain, but recognizing its potential. Therefore, great attention has been given to the asymmetric organization of the brain hemispheres and the impact it can have on teaching and learning processes. Thus, an additional goal of the book is to demonstrate how the field of education can utilize findings from neuroscience to develop educational activities and teaching approaches that more fully activate students' neural networks, stimulate their interests, facilitate the learning process, and make it more effective.
