The complete SEAGULL NDx8 filter features unique anti-reflective coatings that prevent unwanted reflections on the filter surface. It reduces light by 6 stops or 87.5% (equivalent to 3 f-stops). It is completely neutral, without affecting color shifts or discoloration of the image. The filter can be used for both color and black-and-white photography.

Full gray filters limit the amount of light reaching the lens, protecting against overexposure, and extend exposure time for greater depth of field. They are especially useful in long exposure photography, highlighting motion such as clouds and foaming water.
