It offers light transmission of ≥ 99.8% and reflectance of ≤ 0.1%. Its protective coating is resistant to scratches and mechanical damage, and is also hydrophobic and resistant to dirt and dust.

The filter does not adversely affect autofocus or image colors, and does not cause vignetting on wide-angle lenses. Its slim frame is made of black electroplated aluminum. A plastic storage case is included.
