The Pillar 24 crank arm is the 24mm version of the proven Pillar crank arms. Along with the significantly improved strength-to-weight ratio, the 24mm (23.8mm) axle allows direct mounting of the sprockets without the need for additional adapters. The Pillar 24 crank arms use the same exclusive, solid rear plate found on the original Pillar crank arms, which connects the removable pedal and axle parts. This design acts as a very stiff backbone in each arm, eliminating several weak points that may exist in traditional tubular crank arms. Additionally, the Pillar 24 crank arms feature a two-piece axle design that is hydraulically pressed, as well as a hollow axle made of heat-treated chromoly material.
