The Eclat Cortex Freecoaster is 100% upgraded and features 2x nylon guards along with new technology (Internal O-Ring System). The shell is made from aerospace-grade 6061 T6 aluminum, with a shaft and nuts made of Cromoly. The innovation of the Cortex compared to common KHE clutch system coasters lies in the path that the piston takes to click into the shell, as well as in the bearing, using an O-Ring instead of balls. This design prevents sticking and ensures that the bearing does not get damaged, thus providing smoother operation.
