The Regulus RT4P thermostatic regulator is designed to adjust the temperature in the boiler without the need for electrical power. The thermostatic head is resistant to temperature and mechanical damage. The regulator controls the water temperature by increasing or decreasing the amount of air required for fuel combustion.
An increase in temperature causes the spring length in the thermostat to change, moving the arm which closes the ash box door and limits the air supply. When the temperature decreases, the door opens, allowing air to enter the combustion chamber.
