Revised gameplay, based on community feedback

Play your way in EA SPORTS FC™ 26 with more flexible dribbling, smarter AI positioning, and sharper, more explosive movement—all based on community feedback. Goalkeepers now react more naturally with improved positioning, animations are more lifelike, and new Playstyles and player roles give you more ways to shape your team's gameplay.

Play Your Way with Two Different Game Presets

FC 26 introduces two new gameplay presets, each designed for a different play style. Competitive is tuned for close-quarters action in Ultimate Team and Clubs, with faster passing, smarter goalkeeper saves, and more direct control, while Authentic brings a true football feel to modes like Career, with more position-responsible defenders, realistic corner success rates, lifelike goalmouth encounters, and much more.

Create and develop your perfect player with archetypes

The brand-new Archetypes, inspired by great players of the game, introduce new classes to Clubs and Player Career to give greater individuality to the customization and development of your players. Choose a main Archetype and develop your skills throughout the season by earning Archetype XP, upgrading attributes, and unlocking Archetype perks for a truly unique feeling on the field.

Discover more ways to compete in the ultimate football team

Compete in new ways throughout Football Ultimate Team™ with Tournaments and Live Events, as well as a refreshed Rivals and Champs experience. Tournaments will test your skills with up to four rounds of knockout football, while Live Events add more variety with themed competitions and content throughout the season.

The new Bounties allow you to earn additional rewards or accelerate your weekly progress. In addition, EA SPORTS FC™ 26 introduces Challengers – a new second-tier weekend competition designed for players in lower divisions.

Take on new challenges in manager and player career

Experience Manager Career like never before with the brand new Manager Live Challenges throughout the new season. Take on a variety of real-world scenarios and alternative stories – from a few minutes of gameplay to multiple seasons – and earn rewards such as season points, vanity items, and ICONs and heroes that you can use in modern clubs.

Additionally, for the first time, movement in the manager market sees team tactics transform over time as new managers take the helm, changing the dynamics of each new season.

Team all season in clubs

Team up with major additions to clubs in EA SPORTS FC™ 26. Experience greater variety throughout the season, whether playing solo or with your Clubmates in dynamic Live Events, featuring new challenges with different participation requirements, modified Rush gameplay, and alternative rules, creating new opportunities to earn rewards all year round. Additionally, for the first time, EA SPORTS FC™ 26 allows you to connect with up to 3 clubs simultaneously and become the last line of defense in Clubs Rush with the introduction of a revamped Be-A-Goalkeeper system.

I haven't played FIFA in many years, I haven't seen it on PS or Xbox but to me it seems perfect.
Amazing graphics, very good movement and overall I like it very much.

With what I was reading online, I thought the game would lag and you basically wouldn’t be able to enjoy it. That’s not the case at all. Yes, the game runs at 30fps, but it’s stable with the full experience. A big downside is the lack of cross-console online, but you find a game immediately. (This is more of a problem for people outside Europe.)
The menus are slow, but not unusable by any means. (That’s how the menus are on PS4 too.)
My big question is this: why haven’t they included a performance mode that increases the fps a bit and lowers the graphics? Personally, I would sacrifice a lot of the detail in grass/world/stadium and/or more aggressive DLSS to have a smoother framerate.
Let’s hope for a relevant update.
At the 50 euros it costs now, I think it’s worth it.

My review for now concerns tablet mode.
FINALLY, the fifa that was missing from the console in graphics and gameplay..
Anyone who also has a playstation 5 or xbox, it's 1000% better there and should get it there if they want to play it only on a big screen..
I got it initially on nintendo for the tablet
And on black friday when they put it at 40 euros for the ps5, maybe I'll get it there too

Update: I also tried it on a big screen, the graphics are definitely ps4 level, it's fair for anyone who doesn't have another console like ps5 or xbox, but as I wrote at the beginning, if you have nintendo switch 2 and ps5, if you want it for the tv, go for ps5 to have better graphics etc

Really, the game is unacceptable! Playing the ultimate edition these last few days was the most wasted money! The game on the dock doesn't even run at 30 fps, the menu in ultimate team lags to such an extreme degree that you can't even do any sbc. It's disappointing for the switch 2, which is a powerful console, to give this game to people! The only positive is the hand mode in which it runs at 30 fps and is somewhat playable. If someone wants to play fc, just go to ps5 or Xbox. Stay away
