The notebook from Furukawa Paper Works is designed with inspiration from vintage matchboxes. Each screen-printed box features a different imaginary business. This time, we have a matchbox from an ice cream shop with a charming panda mascot.
The paper inside the box is thin washi paper, lightweight and slightly translucent, with a subtle fiber and natural white color. The front side of each page is smooth and the back side has an elegant texture.
Use the matches as playful lines for your short notes. There is a small red panda in the lower right corner to add a friendly touch.
Made in Japan. Furukawa Paper Works has been producing beautiful washi paper since 1835. It is located in the city of Mino, in Gifu Prefecture, at the center of traditional Japanese papermaking. Washi paper has been made in Mino since the 8th century, using the bark of the mulberry tree. Mino washi is so special and historically significant that it has been included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list.
Today, Furukawa continues the tradition of Mino washi with stylish stationery that connects people and reminds them of the natural world.
