I bought this particular fan because I had previously bought a floor fan from the same company and was very satisfied. On the other hand, it was also from a Greek company (though not made in Greece).
On the first setting it has a range of about 4 m and is almost silent. On the 2nd setting the airflow is much stronger, but the noise is 55 dB. It is absolutely tolerable. On the 3rd it is at 60-62 dB and you wouldn't want it on a quiet veranda. The 4th is not for home use.
The main factor affecting the noise is the airflow and not so much the mechanism, which is considered one of the best compared to the competition. Of course, I did not test it without the blades to see how much noise the mechanism alone produces.
Perhaps a more carefully designed placement of the blades (or double blades) would provide better airflow with lower noise.
The installation was relatively simple. I only made a small modification to the support tube in order to achieve the proper mounting angle for my case.
