The 21 cm Chef's Knife from Damascus steel of the Kuro series by Kasumi is designed for all cutting tasks in the kitchen. It is suitable for professional chefs as it provides excellent control and precision during cutting.
Blade: The blade is handcrafted in Japan using traditional techniques, ensuring high quality. It consists of a central core of hard alloy Molybdenum vanadium steel (AUS8) with a Rockwell hardness of 58HRC, alternating with 32 layers of SUS410 steel. This creates a blade that is hard and incredibly sharp up to 15°, resistant to oxidation and wear. The surface of the handle is forged with a high non-stick coating.
Handle: The handle is made of wood with an epoxy coating, in a classic octagonal shape inspired by Japanese craftsmanship. It is easy to grip, waterproof, and heat-resistant.
The knives in the Kuro series have heavy blades and are suitable for users who are familiar with advanced cutting techniques.
Packaging: Packaged in luxurious packaging.
The manufacturing of Kasumi knives is carried out by Sumikama Hamono in Seki, Japan, known for producing high-quality knives. The “Kasumi” refers to the layered construction method of the blade using multiple layers of steel.
