  • I’m a runner, 1.85 m tall, 74 kg, with marathon times of 3:15 and half marathon 1:28, training 5 times/week. I have the yellow ones and the color is amazing, if you like bright colors! In general, the shoe is exactly what the v4 should have been, which I also have (both in size 46.5, since NB doesn’t have my usual 46). That is:
-The size is normal to comfortable, with room in the toebox; if you want room too, like me, it’s ideal (the 4 had way too much room and the foot was floating)
    - the midfoot fits the foot perfectly, I no longer need the extra eyelet after some time (the 4 was 50-50 in this area)
    - in terms of responsiveness, the new version is clearly superior (somewhere around 60% in the respected cut in half) with a more immediate toe off and especially if you run smoothly and don’t have a hard strike like me, you’ll appreciate it even more. You don’t sink in (as much) as in the v4.
Also worth noting, there is no plate so your foot works quite a bit, which takes a little time if you’re used to plates in your shoes. In general, the shoe goes as you go. For me it’s for easy and tempo. Not for intervals and not for recovery, depending on your strike and your weight. Also, I should say that it’s not stability or generally protective and it’s good to be light, sorry I’m not saying that in a racist way, if you prefer it!!
Now let’s get to the key point/question mark..
If I were to rate the improvement, as an improvement in itself, from the previous version I would definitely give it 10. The big BUT comes in what kind of ride you want or what you like. I used to want soft soles (see Speed 3), now not anymore!! The shoe is excessively soft and because of the low drop, 6 cm, but also the low stack, when you strike hard for tempo for example, you get quite a bit of ground feel, which is okay for me, but combined with the very soft foam, something bothers me a bit. As a comparison, personally I consider the Boston 12 to be the top tempo shoe, which is on the "hard" side of the sole/foam!! So I’m between 3 and 4 stars and since 3.5 doesn’t exist... if you want a soft sole maybe go for 5 stars, if not you probably lean toward 3, like me!!! A note also for the durability of the foam and its properties!! So far I’ve done 90 km, easy and tempo, and it remains the same!!

The best athletic shoe I have worn in recent years. It's like walking on a cloud. After watching various reviews on YouTube, mainly comparing them to Adidas, I ended up choosing these and I haven't regretted it.
