    I don't know why children's bicycles have become so heavy. This is supposed to be aluminum with a nominal weight of 7.5 kg. I didn't weigh it, but the feeling in the hand is that it is heavier. There are, however, many adult aluminum bicycles with 28-inch wheels that weigh 9 kg, so one would expect a 14-inch little bike to be lighter than 7.5 kg. Other than that, I would say this is a quality choice. It also has a nice combination of colors so it isn't kitsch like most children's bicycles.
