I placed the inks in genuine PG540 and CL541 cartridges with relative ease.
The hardest part was opening the holes the first time with the provided drill; after that, you just refill each time with the syringe and you're done, you just need to be careful and use disposable gloves.
They were installed in a Canon Pixma TS5100 multifunction printer and it works flawlessly, it just reads them as empty and there is a permanent ink replacement warning. However, the cost compared to the genuine ones is at least 4 times lower.
    They are definitely worth it!

I am disappointed, the printer does not recognize it so for me it is wasted money and effort...

Well, I bought this kit to start refilling my own ink cartridges because the cost of printing with replacement cartridges, even with OEM inks, is ridiculously expensive. While filling them yourself is ridiculously easy. I watched some videos on YouTube about the process, just to make sure I wouldn't mess everything up, and I did it.

Now, as for who it is aimed at. If you have an ink cartridge that has just run out, you simply fill it with the syringe and it's ready to go. But if it has been unused for a while (like the color one in my case), then the ink on the head may have dried out a little or a lot, and you may or may not be able to clean it. If you don't want to spend a little or a loooooot of time cleaning it, you can just get a new ink and refill it when it runs out and relax.

No more dealing with companies. I was ready to spend a bunch of money to buy a printer with ink tanks (CISS), which are very expensive but cheap in terms of printing. Luckily, I found this solution and finally feel a deep relief. I highly recommend it!
