The TP-LINK MC211CS-20 media converter converts Ethernet electrical signals to optical signals and vice versa. It features a Gigabit RJ45 port and a Gigabit SC fiber-optic port. WDM technology enables bidirectional data transmission over a single-mode fiber, extending the connection up to 20 km.

The RJ45 port supports automatic speed and half-duplex or full-duplex mode negotiation, as well as Auto-MDI/MDIX. The converter supports the IEEE 802.3, 802.3i, 802.3u, 802.3ab, 802.3x and 802.3z standards.
