Description

Passive filters are used in 2 or 3-way sound systems to direct low frequencies to the bass speaker and high and mid frequencies to the high-frequency speakers. To operate without compromise, passive filters must handle extreme dynamic variations, the full range of sound frequencies, complex transitions, and the variable resistance of the speakers. ESB passive filters are carefully designed to perfectly match the characteristics of ESB speakers, ensuring uniform sound response across the entire audio spectrum.

  • Dedicated to the 3.28 tweeter, the 3.90 mid speaker, and the 3.165 bass.
  • Use of thick copper PCBs.
  • 4-step adjustment capability for the tweeter.
  • Include oversized non-inductive ceramic resistors.
  • Use polyester capacitors for the tweeter.
  • Asymmetric cutoff profiles.
  • Air coils for the tweeter and mid speaker.
