Its optical construction includes extra-low dispersion (ED), high-refractive-index (HR), and aspherical elements to reduce chromatic aberration, flare, and ghosting.

The electronically controlled 9-blade aperture creates bokeh to separate the subject from the background. The bayonet mount is made of hardened aluminum alloy, while the USB-C port allows firmware updates to be installed.
