Its optical design comprises 11 elements in 8 groups, including one extra-low dispersion element, two elements with an ultra-high refractive index, and three with a high refractive index to reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing.

Manual focusing is supported by distance and depth-of-field scales for pre-focusing and zone focusing. The aperture ring features a click-stop deactivation mechanism for smooth, silent adjustments while recording video.
