In Mado Monogatari: Fia and the Wondrous Academy Complete Edition for PS4, Fia leaves her hometown to attend the Ancient Magic Academy and become a witch. She explores the Academy’s dungeons, uncovers their mysteries, and battles monsters in real time. Exploration is combined with puzzles and role-playing elements.
The dungeons are randomly generated and contain treasures and magical monsters. Fia collects elemental orbs to fill her magic gauge and unleash magical attacks, while her grimoire records the spells and abilities she unlocks. Quests and competitions earn learning points, which can be used to unlock new spells.
At the academy, Fia can interact with classmates, grow ingredients, cook curry for boosts, and play mini-games. In the storeroom, items found in the dungeons can be combined to create equipment.
