Mapei Mapesil AC sealing silicone is a one-component, acetoxy-curing product. The elastic, thixotropic paste can be applied to horizontal and vertical surfaces and is used to seal joints with movement of up to 25%, as well as to create flexible gaskets between building elements.
It adheres to glass, ceramic tiles and anodised aluminium. With the use of a primer, it can also be applied to concrete, wood, metal, painted surfaces, plastic and rubber. It cures through exposure to atmospheric moisture, is watertight and vapour-permeable, and contains anti-mould and antibacterial agents.
