ScreamRide for Xbox One offers three gameplay modes: building, roller coaster riding, and destruction. In building mode, players solve puzzles and create roller coasters, rides, and environments from scratch using hundreds of customizable building pieces. In riding mode, they take control of the roller coasters they have created, while in destruction mode, they earn points by destroying objects and environments.

Collisions and destruction are physics-based and include cinematic crashes, derailments, and building collapses. Levels unlock as you progress through the game, and in-game and global leaderboards are available.
