The American company Lodge has perfected the process of producing durable cast iron cookware with more than a hundred years of experience. The black patina given to the pan through the "seasoning" process is actually vegetable oil that has been heat-treated after the pan is removed from its individual mold. This layer of oil is functional and not just decorative. The pan is sprayed using an electrostatic sprayer and industrial ovens, subjecting it to high temperatures, which allows the oil to penetrate deeply into the iron’s pores, creating a thin layer.
The pan can be used immediately after purchase. You can use it on all cooking surfaces, grills, and fires. It is suitable for sautéing, frying, or baking. Ideal for the cold season when outdoor cooking is less accessible. Made in the United States.
Use and Maintenance: Although the pan has been “pre-seasoned” to prevent food from sticking, cooking yields the best results when the pan is sprayed or coated with a thin layer of vegetable oil before use. After cooking, cleaning with a stiff plastic brush and hot water is recommended. Dish detergent or dishwashers are not recommended, nor should cleaning agents containing detergents be used. Dry the pan immediately after washing with a paper towel and apply a thin layer of oil with a brush while the pan still retains heat from cooking.
