Oregano (Origanum vulgare) is a perennial plant with a distinctive aroma, known since ancient times for its culinary and medicinal properties. It belongs to the Lamiaceae family and is widely cultivated in Mediterranean countries.

Characteristics:

Usage: 1 tablespoon of oregano is steeped with 1 glass of boiling water in a covered container. It is left for 10-15 minutes and strained before use. For gargles, the tea is prepared more concentrated.

Storage: Keep in a dark and cool place (5°C – 15°C).
