Historical Information and Plant Morphology: Passiflora (Passiflora incarnata) is a climbing plant with impressive flowers, mainly growing in tropical and subtropical regions. Its name comes from Spanish missionaries who associated its flowers with the Passion of Christ. It has traditionally been used for its calming effects and to improve sleep.

Properties:

  • Treatment of sleep disorders and insomnia: Contains flavonoids and alkaloids that affect the nervous system and enhance relaxation.
  • Muscle relaxant and calming action: Especially useful in cases of anxiety, melancholy, overstrain, and excessive nervousness.
  • Pain-relieving properties: Helps relieve pain, mainly muscular and nervous.
  • Support of the nervous system: Useful in cases of hysteria, epilepsy, and hyperactivity, especially in children.
