Historical Data and Plant Morphology: The botanical name tilia comes from the Greek word “tílos” due to the fibers contained in the bark of the linden tree. Historically, linden flowers have been used for their therapeutic properties, and the ancient Greeks were aware of their calming and healing effects. Linden has impressively aromatic flowers, collected during their blooming, mainly in summer, and used as an infusion.
