History and Plant Morphology: The bay laurel (Laurus nobilis) is an evergreen plant with characteristic dark green, leathery leaves and a strong aroma. It was a sacred plant in ancient Greece and is associated with the goddess Aphrodite and Apollo. Bay wreaths were used as a symbol of honor and victory. It grows in Mediterranean climates and reaches a height of 6-18 meters.

Usage: 1 tablespoon of crushed bay leaves (or 3-4 leaves) is scalded with 1 glass of boiling water in a covered container. Let stand for 10-15 minutes and strain before use. For washes, use 50-60 gr. in 1 liter of water.
