Horsetail (Equisetum arvense)

Historical Information: Horsetail is one of the ancient plants of the earth, described by Dioscorides as a medicinal herb. It was used for wound healing and the treatment of urinary system disorders.

Characteristics:

• Rich in minerals, especially silicon dioxide.
• Diuretic action: Helps reduce fluid retention.
• Relief from skin problems: Useful for acne and eczema.
• Bone health: Contributes to the prevention of osteoporosis.
• Hair care: Helps reduce hair loss.

Usage:

• Infusion: 1 tablespoon in 1 glass of water for 5 minutes.
• Rinses: More concentrated dose in 1 liter of water.
• Bath: 100 g in hot water for one hour.
