Better late than never that it was finally released on PS5. It would have been a great shame if it hadn’t happened.
First of all, big congratulations and medals of bravery to the people at GSC Game Worlds. They went through a lot, and are still going through a lot, having announced, canceled, re-announced, dealt with a pandemic, and finally, with the climax being Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, managed to bring the sequel to life. We shouldn’t forget that these people fought in the morning and programmed at night...!!!
Having played 15 hours so far, it’s one of the best games they’ve made.
The atmosphere is suffocating, heavy, with the radiation meter in the Chernobyl Zone constantly spiking.
The story and side quests are well-written and full of surprises.
The game is quite demanding, as it’s also a survival game, you always have to be alert with the monsters, other stalkers, and the supernatural anomalies.
The graphics are rich, fantastic, with amazing color palettes. They run smoothly. It’s nothing like how it ran when it first came out a year ago, but to some extent, the developers are justified.
A worthy representative of Soviet games, as it is also the father of the Metro games.
