Soujouk loukoum is a traditional sweet made in Komotini. It has a smooth, soft texture and a sweet taste, with whole walnuts and powdered sugar.

To make it, whole walnuts are threaded onto a string and dipped in a mixture of water and sugar. The mixture is left to cool and set, and finally the long, cylindrical loukoum pieces are dusted with powdered sugar.
