Michalis Lesperis leaves the island to find the truth and returns from the city to escape from lies. In place of the stables, olive groves, and vegetable gardens, he finds car washes; refugee children rub the metal sheets of the proud owners.

The island's humidity corrodes the cars and money the people. They no longer know how to love, how to live, how to die.
