Description

The 2007 edition by Montblanc's writers celebrates a great American author, William Faulkner. William Faulkner, born in 1897 in the Mississippi region, came from an established Southern American family and imagined an entire area that served as the setting for his novels. Over 12 of his works are set in Yoknapatawpha, a fictional place conceived and placed by the author in Mississippi.

In works such as "The Sound and the Fury" and "Light in August," Faulkner looked behind the urban façade of the American South and presented his readers with small family dramas triggered by the decline of values. Faulkner pioneered new literary paths with his writing style. Like James Joyce and Virginia Woolf, he experimented with unique narrative techniques.
